water.

In the spring, every year or at least every other season you

should have your lawn aerated. Pulling deep plugs does many

things. This relieves compaction, allowing much needed water

and nutrients to penetrate to the root level. It also helps promote root development as well as

eliminating your thatch problem. Power Raking is much more expensive and will not aerate your

lawn, aeration will achieve both goals. 

Mulching...

If you have a mulching mower you are ahead of the game. Mulching your grass will provide you

with a renewable fertilizing system keeping your lawn greener longer between applications. Did you

know that thatch is not caused by grass clippings but by watering too often and not deep enough?

This is called top die off.
